And since I am from Seattle, the parts that took place there were very vivid for me. Looking forward to the next book release. Jan 07, Cherye Elliott rated it it was amazing. So far so good I am enjoying this book. There are no super heroes. No one with vast amounts of money to survive an apocalyptic event with all the bells and whistles..
Just regular people. Looking forward to reading Book 2. Fav quotes He knew this would hurt, because if Warren had ever been a hundred sixty pounds it had been quite a few Big Macs in the past. He was one ninety if he weighed an ounce. Feb 23, mary rankin rated it really liked it. Fast moving, believable. Someone set off a nuclear bomb off the California coast and then another on San Francisco. We follow Karen, her daughter Emily and Dr.
Ramos as they fight to get out of the city and away from the fallout. Karen ex husband is in Oregon, trying to get to them.
It is an exciting read that feels like reality. There is enough going on that I'm looking forward to the second book. Remarkably few errors in grammar which is what usually annoys me. Jan 06, Pam Shelton-Anderson rated it really liked it Shelves: post-apocalyptic-war. This was a good start to a series, but I felt the book itself was way too short. I hope this is not one of those "episode" style series where each book is terribly short and there is a long time between each installment.
I'm also not too sure there would be time to declare, implement and send troops for a "Code Black" when a possible nuclear strike might be incoming. That being said, the writing was good and the story did flow pretty well.

I hate soap opera series type writing. What ever happened to just writing a Book? Tell the story, develope the plots and characters, conclude and let it stand. Literature has gone to smoke.

Every wanna be writer wants to do comic book serials like this trash. I'm done. No I will not read on. Feb 10, Connie rated it it was amazing. And you thought you were having a bad day.. Jack Archer lost his family in a divorce, his license to practice medicine, and is drinking vodka for breakfast but when SHTF in the form of a nuclear attack he is determined to save his daughter and ex-wife. Jun 13, Linda Turnbow rated it it was amazing. My first time read of Keith Taylor. Really a good read.
Characters so human and reachable. And there has been absolutely no mention of them since. There must me some kind of twist with those two, right?
Did the witches put an identity spell on, well, everybody who lived in Outpost 3? But there are multiple instances this season of actors playing multiple new characters: Joan Collins, Evan Peters and Billy Eichner. Now, if Coco had been living a fake life with a personal assistant doing the same, then it follows, perhaps, that the other people in her life might have been in the same situation.
Obviously, the situation with those two — the Satanist robotics engineers who created the Ms. Mead bot — would be a bit different than that of Bubbles, as they are dedicated servants of the Antichrist. Complicating this theory, of course, is that Bubbles was seemingly killed this week when Michael rampaged through the coven. The opening portion of the seventh episode saw Cordelia seek out the voodoo queen Dinah Stevens to try to seek the aid of Papa Legba Lance Reddick.
And that was that. Or will they be important again at some point? Was there a reason they waited until episode seven to reveal how Myrtle came back? But Myrtle has been around since the third episode with nobody acknowledging that she had returned from the dead. And then, at the end of the episode, Madison Emma Roberts and Chablis Billy Porter get in their car and leave the house behind. Could the nuclear apocalypse blow up the house and free the ghosts?
Or could we return to the house at some point? It is above the entrance to hell, after all. Which casts further confusion about the identity of the Rubber Man from Outpost 3. Most of the witches of the coven are dead now, with the exception of Cordelia, Myrtle, Madison, Coco and Mallory.
She told Cordelia that she was too weak to fight after being in hell so long. A lot of seemingly supernatural things happened in the second episode — the dead snakes coming back to life, the guy in the Rubber Man suit appearing as if from nowhere, Gallant stabbing what he thought was Rubber Man who turned out to actually be his grandma.
Mallory, for example, is clearly powerful enough to use magic subconsciously. Reznik Maria Bello in a thankless role , and a clutch of frighteningly young soldiers whose mission is not what it seems. Yet with two films left in the trilogy, the filmmakers still have the time and opportunity to get this quality material better than right. Running time: MIN. Crew : Directed by J Blakeson.
