Housed in a custom cloth clamshell box. Near fine in a very good price-clipped dust jacket. Uncommon in this condition. First edition of the last work published by Twain during his lifetime. Octavo, original cloth, frontispiece, tissue guard.

Octavo, original blue cloth, peach endpapers, top edge gilt, illustrations in text by True Williams and others, printed on wove paper, with preliminary matter paginated [I]-XVI and front and rear triple flyleaves of laid paper. In very good condition with some very light rubbing to the cloth. A nice example of an important book. Contemporary inscription to the front free endpaper, near fine in the rare original dust jacket with wear and tear and some writing on the front panel.

Franklin Press imprint on verso of title page. In near fine condition with a touch of rubbing. First edition of this Twain work regarding the Shakespeare-Bacon controversy. Near fine in the rare original dust jacket which shows some light wear and tear. Octavo, 25 volumes, bound in three quarters morocco over marbled boards, gilt titles and tooling to the spine, morocco spine labels, top edge gilt, engraved frontispiece to each volume, illustrated.
